Web Changes

This is where we'll announce the most recent additions to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here first.

September-2006 -- Version 4 of the Catalyst Console firmware is now available.  Support for "Group-Lockout" in Sequences is now supported. (Allows up to 8 groups to be defined and assigned to cues to allow for blocking during a Sequenced show. Reasons for blocking a particular group of cues include but are not limited to a change in wind conditions prior to the show, AHJ decision on safety and so on)

Added a version history page to track CCC firmware changes.

August-2006 -- Added information regarding the newest Catalyst system, the Catalyst Remote Console. (Available Q4-2006)

August-2006 -- Added information regarding Firing Module wiring "Best Practices"

July-2006 -- Phase-III of the Catalyst Console firmware/hardware is in progress.  The latest enhancements will include the ability to play MP3 files and will allow the CCC to be the SOURCE of the Pyro-Show music.  This eliminates the need for developing a Timecode track to keep the Pyro-timing in sync with the music.  The CCC will be in control of both the Pyro Show firing sequence as well as the generation of MP3 quality audio.  This is the next generation of Pyro-Musical production systems.  First production of this model should be available late 2006.

The addition of several examples of show setup & wiring have been added to the Firing Module web page. There is also a large video of a demo show fired July-2006 (62.6MB).  The example-#3 shows the wiring setup used for this show.

A description of the Capacitive Discharge technology used in the Firing Modules has been added.

Updates have been made to the Catalyst Control Console page as well.

August-2005 -- Phase-II of the Catalyst Control Console firmware/hardware is underway.  The program storage capability of the CCC unit is being quadrupled to allow for a number of enhancements.  These changes will be available in the first production units scheduled for 2006.

June-2005 -- A short video showing the firing speed/precision of the FM-32 module.  In this test, 8 ematches are wired to 8 individual CUEs on a Firing Module.  The Catalyst Control Console (CCC) is programmed with a short sequence that will individually fire each CUE in sequence separated by 0.025 seconds.  The entire firing takes 0.200 seconds to complete.
