Pyro-Tilt Sensor

The Pyro-Tilt Sensor module is unique to the Catalyst Pyrotechnic equipment line.  It enables any Pyro-Tilt enabled device such as the Catalyst Firing Module to autonomously detect and react to a safety hazard situation by immediately stopping all fire commands to the connected Firing Module.  No operator intervention or control is needed to react to a safety hazard situation.  Pyro-Tilt modules may be cascaded in order to detect hazardous out-of-line racks, mortars, troughs etc.  It's like having additional spotters on-site watching many items simultaneously.  In situations that self-resolve (like a rack that is momentarily moved off-balance by a firing but returns within a brief preset amount of time) the attached Firing Module does not enter the Tilt condition, but merely resets itself and continues to monitor all the attached Pyro-Tilt modules.  However, if a Tilt condition is detected for more than the preset time, the Firing Module enters a Tilt condition state and will refuse any further fire commands.  If any Pyro-Tilt modules become disabled and/or disconnected by a detonation or fire, the units operate in a fail-safe mode and will also cause the Firing Module to enter the Tilt state and cease further fire commands.
